John and I recently went to Las Vegas for 4 nights over the Thanksgiving Holiday. We had some airline vouchers we needed to use or lose. Now we could’ve gone and visited family somewhere and spent way more than the vouchers allotted, plus a rental car and hotel room. But we decided to take time for ourselves!
Dinner and a Couple Shows
We flew out Thanksgiving night and arrived to Vegas for dinner and to walk the hotel. Ate at a fantastic Steak restaurant, Strip Steak in Mandalay Bay. We were their last seating. John and I devoured our delicious steaks and then moseyed on our way. We walked from Mandalay Bay up and through the shops to Luxor. Picked up our Blue Man Group tickets and took some pictures. We kept going and took the next section into Excalibur.
Fun Fact! Did you know you can walk through all 3 hotels together without ever stepping outside?
We called it a night around 11 pm. That’s midnight back home and John did not turn into a pumpkin!
I had the grand idea of starting at our hotel and walking up one side and down the other side of the strip to see all it has to offer. 18.5 miles walked on Black Friday in boots made for some sore legs the next day. But hey, I looked fashionable right? Wrong! Next time, sneakers ALL THE WAY! We walked through almost all of the malls and casinos. While we were out shopping, we stopped and bought tickets for Terry Fator for Friday night. He was amazing! We sat 8 rows from the stage. It was a Very Terry Christmas Indeed! Have you seen Terry Fator? If not, I highly suggest it.
